About the experience
Our participants had the opportunity to represent Italy in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Swipe Right for Change: Tolerance in the Digital World”, hosted in Tauchen, Austria, at the inspiring Blue Whale Educational Centre, coordinated by CAMBIO e.V.
Together with young people from Germany, Austria, Serbia and Romania, they joined an intense international learning journey focused on some of the most urgent topics of today: digital literacy, fake news, hate speech, stereotypes, active citizenship and intercultural communication.
Through non-formal education methods, participants did not only attend workshops, they became facilitators themselves. They created and led sessions, exchanged perspectives, challenged ideas and learned how education can happen through cooperation, dialogue and peer learning.
One of the strongest experiences of the exchange was a 3-day digital disconnection challenge, where participants put away their phones and devices to reflect on their relationship with technology, social media and the online world. This created space for deeper human connection, critical thinking and self-awareness.
They also explored non-violent communication, media manipulation, propaganda, inclusion and the responsibilities of being active digital citizens in modern society.
Our participants returned with valuable tools, stronger confidence, new friendships and fresh ideas to bring back into their communities.
We are proud to see young people grow through Erasmus+ opportunities and transform international experiences into real change.
🏠 The project is coordinated by Cambio e.V., and co-funded by Erasmus+ programme of the European Union
